School Age

Our Maple Grove Before & After School Club is an exciting program for children from JK up to Grade 6. Our Registered Early Childhood Educators provide stimulating activities, clubs and social opportunities designed specifically for the School Aged Child.

Our recently updated facility offers 3 separate air conditioned rooms, a fully equipped kitchen We provide a nutritious morning breakfast and after school snack.

Children aged 3.8 - 8 are beginning to develop their own autonomy and desire an environment where there is an abundance of options and openness for them to make choices to suit their own individual interests.

Children aged 9 - 12 feel the need to be independent and in charge of their own environment. Our program leaders offer these children more enriched opportunities with age appropriate equipment and room for social interactions.

Some of the Interest Centres Include:

  • A homework area where the children can complete the day’s school work in a separate, quiet and well equipped room with assistance from our program leaders.
  • A library and writing area with a wide variety of reading materials ranging from: comic books, biographies, non-fiction, chapter books, research resources and more.
  • A gross motor area where the children are free to participate in organized games.
  • An artistic area for the children to express themselves through a wide range of medium and tools and the opportunity to make a variety of cool crafts.
  • A science/sensory station for the young scientist or the child who likes to get their hands messy, we offer unique science experiments and slippery/slimy sensory bins
  • The home living centre offers a social area for role playing, small group cooperation, and a space to relax in.
  • Our popular game areas are equipped with 2 Wii stations, air hockey table and foosball table.
